OUR BEGINNINGS WERE HUMBLE
THE history
The history of the club began in the early 1960's when Richard Whiteman was racing SCCA events. He was joined by his wife, Susie and her brother Tom Long. Soon Pat Long, Dave and Fran Teter, Jim and Connie Welch, Ronnie and Virginia Mason, Carol and Bruce Gezon joined in the fun. Each couple had a sports car so the created a club, the Mon Valley Sports Car Club. The club grew through the 1970's and 80's before slowing down. Wayne Long resurrected the Club in 2007. Today the Club is more of a social club that helps bring sports car lovers together to share their passion.
